Travel Plaza Site Completes First Phase of Dirt Work
The initial phase of dirt work at the Travel Plaza site has now reached completion, with grading expected to finalize in March. The eastern section features a constructed retention pond and drainage system, with seeding scheduled to commence once weather conditions improve. The development team is preparing to transition to underground utility installations and asphalt paving as the next steps for this site
Manufacturing Facility Achieves Key Construction Milestones
Progress as the Manufacturing Facility has been equally significant. Concrete footings are in place, truck dock walls have been installed, and utility work is approaching completion. The project timeline remains on track, with structural framework is set to begin mid to early-April and expected completion targeted for May.
Focus Shifts to Structural Completion and Site Preparation
For the upcoming quarter, construction efforts will concentrate on completing the structural framework, interior and exterior buildout, finalizing site utilities, and preparing for paving and landscaping phases.
“The 150/75 Development remains a pivotal project in advancing economic growth, innovation, and cultural enrichment for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation,” explains Project Engineer Robyn Jones. “The Manufacturing Facility will serve as a central hub for business and community engagement upon completion.”

This progress demonstrates the team’s commitment to maintaining the project’s schedule while prioritizing quality and precision.

Utility placement markers denote the start of critical underground infrastructure for the 150th and Highway 75 development.
Underground Utility Placement Underway
Simultaneously, underground utility placement has begun, signaling another crucial phase of development. These utilities will provide vital connections for water, sewer, and electrical systems, supporting both the Gaia Building and future components of the 150/75 Development. This work is being carefully coordinated to run concurrently with foundation preparation, maximizing efficiency and minimizing delays.
Building Erection Set for February Launch
Looking ahead, the next major milestone is just around the corner. Construction crews are gearing up for the start of building erection, which is forecasted to begin during the third week of February. This marks a significant turning point in the project as the Gaia Building begins to take shape, symbolizing progress and the vision for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation’s future.
The 150/75 Development is more than a construction project—it is a testament to the Nation’s commitment to sustainable growth and community enrichment.
