MAYETTA: The mail in ballots for the Ethics Commission Election were mailed yesterday and must be returned in the pre-addressed return envelope per the instructions. Ballots must be returned to the Mayetta Post Office by 9 a.m. on July 25 and will be counted in an open meeting of the tribal membership.

Three candidates have filed for three of the six seats in the Ethics Commission and include Mamie Rupnicki for chairperson, Rencie Eteeyan for vice-chairperson, and Kassie James for secretary. There were no candidates for Commissioner #1, #2 or #3.

The Election Committee is Sara Gartenmayer, chairperson, Arlene Lingo and Sherri Landis.
