MAYETTA: Tribal members are invited to a sneak preview of their new 18-hole Firekeeper Golf Course, located across the street from the Prairie Band Casino & Resort, from Sept. 27-Oct.3.
Things kick off next Monday when the course will open for play only to tribal members from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Later that day, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Notah Begay, PGA golf professional and co-designer of the course, will be on hand and offer a clinic for PBPN youth at the driving range. PBPN children who attend the event must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will also be provided.
Throughout the week PBPN members can play the course Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and during the weekend from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The driving range will also be open with a golf professional available for limited education and instruction.
