Audrey Ann “Chah-Me-Quah” Oliver
September 30, 1960 – April 2, 2023
Audrey worked for over 35 years for the City of Topeka as a Parking Control Supervisor.
She was a member of Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and We-Ta-Se Post 410 Women’s Auxiliary.
Survivors include her father, Howard Oliver of Topeka, KS; 2 sons, Nick Davenport (Lora) of Branson, MO and Kinton Smith (Sarah) of Topeka, KS; 4 sisters, Deb McLinn (Phil), Tina Oliver both of Topeka, KS, Nancy Henry (Roger) of Mayetta, KS and Linda LaBranch of Paola, KS; brother, John Zakar, Jr. of Valdosta, GA; 2 grandchildren, Ronan and Lena Smith and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Melvene Oliver; sister, Leah Zakar and brother, Shaun LaBranch.
She was affectionately known as “Koya” by her grandchildren and “Auntie” by her nieces and nephews. She loved her Chiefs, Jayhawks and bingo.
Che ba qua was Wednesday evening, April 5, 2023 at Nozhackum Hall. Graveside Service was held Thursday morning, April 6, 2023 at Danceground Cemetery. Memorials may be given to We-Ta-Se Post 410 c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
