Bernice V. Holtzmann
Bernice V. Holtzmann, 84, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011. Bernice was born in Mayetta, Kansas on February 9, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Eleanor Moore. Bernice worked as the manager of the Libbey Glass Outlet Store, was a clerk for Elder-Beerrman on Secor Rd, and worked for Hallmark Cards at the Kroger Store on Glendale. Bernice was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and volunteered on many activities. She also sang with the Toledo Choral Society. She was a devoted mother and cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Edward. She is survived by her sons, Joel and Frank (Victoria) Holtzmann; brothers, Terry and Melvin Moore; sister, Carolyn Moore; grandchildren, Stephanie Surprise and Kenny Holtzmann, and great-grandchildren, Savannah and Lillian Brewer, Gabriel Surprise and Reanna and Melina Holtzmann.
Family and friends may visit Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the mortuary Friday at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
