Delores J. Marshno Mansfield Obituary

September 22, 2009 –

Mayetta- Deloris J. Marshno Mansfield, 77, of Mayetta, KS passed away September 21, 2009 at the VA Hospital in Topeka, KS. She was born March 30, 1932 in Mayetta, KS the daughter of Francis Nug and Lillian Marie Wilmot Marshno. She graduated from Mayetta High School in 1950, after graduation she served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. She was also a supervisor at Wichita Car Wash, a nurse’s aide in Manhattan and worked in Kimball, NE as a post office clerk. Deloris was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, a member of We -Ta -Se -Post #410 and a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. Survivors include a son, Francis Phillips of Bloomington, NE; 3 daughters, Michele Martinez and Wanita Phillips both of Dallas, TX and Jody Marie Phillips of Redding, CA; an adopted daughter, Susan McKibben of Mayetta, KS; a sister, Patricia Phillips of Dallas, TX; 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Duane Phillips and a brother, Winfred Marshno. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2009 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mayetta, KS. Interment will be in the Shipshee Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the church with visitation to follow. She will lie in state beginning Wednesday morning until 5:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
