Dolly Christine Lewis, 50, of Topeka, KS died February 2, 2015 at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
She was born July 2, 1964 in Topeka, the daughter of Carl Anthony and Sylivia (Martinez) Frye.
Dolly was a before and after school care provider at the YMCA. She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. Dolly was a very caring and giving person never meeting a stranger and always willing to help another in any way possible.
She married Gary Joseph Lewis in Topeka, on September 23, 1983. He survives. Other survivors include a son, Christopher Lewis, a daughter, Michelle Mullens and her husband, Justin, four grandchildren, Anthony Paul Lewis, Maguire Garrick Mullens, Maddox Xavier Mullens and Everleigh Quinn Mullens all of Topeka. Two sisters Jennene Cromwell of Topeka, Karla Quick of Manhattan, KS, her mother Sylvia Mattwaoshshe of Topeka also survive. Dolly was preceded in death by her father Carl Anthony Frye and an Uncle Walter Timothy Frye.
Dolly will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Topeka Cemetery.
Dolly’s favorite color was purple. So if you have purple attire please wear it in her memory.
