Janice Geneva Coleman
March 23, 1987 – February 23, 2024
Janice Geneva Coleman, 36, Topeka, Kansas, an independent, accomplished young woman who walked on way too soon, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024.
Janice was born March 23, 1987, in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Lorraine Kay Grewett and Michael Richard Malone. She was a proud Spartan, earning her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and her master’s degree from Washburn University, Topeka.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Michael Jeter Coleman; Kevin Coleman; her mother, Lorraine Grewett (Clark); father, Michael Malone (Monica); brother, Josiah Johnson; sister, Eden Kondrat (Chris); in-laws, Cindy and Charlie Coleman; grandparents, Harold and Mary Malone and Laura Pigeon; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Janice attended Love Fellowship Church. She liked to fish and laugh with Kevin and MJ and go to the Farmers Market. She was a talented athlete. Janice could, and did, converse with anyone anywhere, had a beautiful, bright smile, was so smart and exceedingly generous. She was dearly loved and her presence will be greatly missed.
Visitation was Friday, March 1, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. A Celebration of Janice’s Life followed.
