Nicole G. “Shipshequah” Hernandez Obituary

Nicole G. “Shipshequah” Hernandez
March 13, 1976 – February 6, 2023

Nicole G. Dunn Hernandez (Shipshequah), 46, of Milford, PA, began her journey on February 6, 2023. She was born March 13, 1976 in Port Jervis, NY, the daughter of Walter (Buddy) Dunn and Phyllis Pahmahmie Dunn.

Nicole was an Enrolled Member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. She was a Member of the Drum Religion located on the Prairie Band Potawatomi Reservation in Mayetta, KS. She was very proud of her Native American Blood, Culture, and Religion throughout her daily life. She was a graduate of Port Jervis High School located in Port Jervis, NY. She had an enormous heart and passion in caring for others. She has worked in various capacities in the healthcare field for many years. Nicole loved animals, dancing, music, nature and the outdoors. Nicole was a loving mother that adored her son and grandson tremendously. She was a caring sister, aunt, niece and friend to many.

Nicole is survived by her husband Ramon Hernandez of Scranton, PA; sons, Kyler Hommy Hernandez (Ariana) of Scranton, PA; Ramon Hernandez of Westtown, NY; grandson, Kyri Hernandez of Scranton, PA; a brother, Jeffrey Dunn (Jackie) Milford, PA; a sister, Kathy Dunn Gentile (Menonquah) (Marty) Delia, KS; Nieces, Jessica Viserta Port Jervis, NY, Mia Gentile Shohola, PA, Kirsten Dunn, Dominique Dunn, both of Milford, PA and nephew, Ronin Gentile of Delia, KS; Father and mother -in-law, Steven and Sonia Diaz of Westtown, NY. Aunts, Anita Gail Pahmahmie Evans (Mando), Dolly Richard (Mike),
Kathleen Roberts (Bill), Joan Pahmahmie, Phyllis Pahmahmie. Uncles, Richard Pahmahmie Jr. (Pamela), Lawrence Pahmahmie, Alan (Boney) Pahmahmie
(Brenda), Patrick Dunn and many sister/brother cousins near and far especially from her homeland on the reservation. She was predeceased by her parents, grandparents, Richard and Josie Wamego Pahmahmie Sr. and Joseph Dunn and Norma Bloomer Latini. Uncles, Henry Pahmahmie, Albert Pahmahmie, Merle (Tuffy) Pahmahmie, Roy Pahmahmie, and Peter Latini.
