BOSSIER CITY – A Graveside Service Celebrating the Life of Paul Edward Cruz, 62, of Bossier City will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11th, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
Paul was born April 25, 1955 in Holton, Kansas to Richard and Christine Wahquaboshkuk Cruz and passed away August 6, 2017 in Bossier City after a short, but brave and courageous fight.
He was a very hard worker and a great teacher. Paul was a loving, caring, devoted family leader and trusted friend.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Christine Cruz; two brothers, Gerald and Felix Cruz; and one sister Katherine Kelly.
Paul is survived by his son, Jonathan Taylor; brother, Robert Cruz; two sisters, Donna Landry and husband Frank and Wanda Devors. Paul is also survived by his two grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, along with his great nieces and great nephews. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Pallbearers will be Sean Cruz, Bobby Kelly, Elliott Cruz, John Devors, Wayne Cadenhead, Brandon Cruz, Samuel Devors, Matt Bosworth, and Ronny Moreno.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Willis Knighton Bossier and Willis Knighton Shreveport Cancer Center for all the love and care given to Paul during his time of illness.
