Robert “Bob” Carl “Tatani” Hubbard
December 31, 1950 – March 16, 2025
Robert “Bob” Carl “Tatani” Hubbard, 74, of Mayetta, KS, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. He was born December 31, 1950 in Topeka, KS the son of Chester A. and Mary (LaClair) Hubbard.
Bob graduated from Marty Indian School High School in Marty, SD and attended two years at Haskell Indian Nations University. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked for more than 10 years at Goodyear Tire Company and King Radio Manufacturing. He later retired after 30 plus years from Haskell Indian Nations University as Facility Maintenance at the Health Center.
Bob was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. He was Drum Religion. He enjoyed softball, bowling, pool, riding motorcycles and attending his grandchildren’s activities.
He married Janice S. Hubbard on August 14, 1970, they later divorced after 30 years of marriage.
Survivors include his children, Oshpuk S. Hubbard of Lawrence, KS, Mahnee R. Hubbard and Erin “Kumos” L. Hubbard both of Mayetta, KS, Nes “Adelaide” V. Hubbard and Pami D. Hubbard both of Lawrence, KS; companion, Anita Beaver-Daney of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; sister, Antoinette Smith (Stanley) of Emilia, OH; 2 brothers, Clifford Hubbard (Ellen) of Kansas City, MO and Hardy Eteeyan of Mayetta, KS; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mary Hubbard; sister, Mayme Mattaoshshe and 3 brothers, Delmar Hubbard Packska, Galen E. “Sal” Hubbard and Anthony H. Hubbard.
Funeral Service were March 20, 2025 at the Danceground Building. Burial with Military Honors followed at Shipshee Cemetery.
