MAYETTA, KS – Rosezan Toledo, 91, of Mayetta, KS passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her home. She was born on February 25, 1926 in Mayetta, the daughter of Oliver and Mary (Shoughnesse) LeClere.
Rosezan attended Marty Indian School in Marty, S.D. and graduated from Chilocco Indian School in Chilocco, Oklahoma. She retired from St. Francis Hospital in 1991 where she worked as a ward clerk for 15 years.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church and Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
She married Paul Williams, he preceded her in death. She later married Leonard Toledo, he also preceded her in death.
Rosezan was also preceded by a daughter, Mary Ann Mitchell; 5 sisters, Mary LeClere, Cecilia Madrid, Julia Sanchez, Evelyn Davis and Clairicie Jenson and 3 brothers, Leonard LeClere, Edward LeClair and John LeClere.
Survivors include 4 sons, Michael Toledo, Gary Williams, Marcus Gutierrez (Connie) all of Mayetta, and Ronald Gutierrez of Topeka. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Danceground Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m.
