MAYETTA – Tamara Wahweotten Green, Ta-Wa-Kwe, 48, of Mayetta, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her home.
She was born April 10, 1966 at Holton, the daughter of Warren and Wynona Harrison Wahweotten. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1984.
Tamara was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and the Drum Religion.
Survivors include her parents, Warren and Wynona Wahweotten, three sons, Damian Johnson, Eythan Johnson, and Daniel Simon, Jr. and Kek; one daughter, Rudi Lake and husband Michael; two brothers, Michael A. Wahweotten, and Warren Wahweotten, Jr. and wife Gina; three grandsons and one granddaughter, all of Mayetta.
Drum services will be Saturday evening, June 7th at the Dance Ground west of Mayetta. Burial will be Sunday afternoon in the Shipshee Cemetery. Tamara will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hoyt.
