Tara Lorene (Murray) Cunningham, 49, Wichita, KS. passed away on August 29, 2021.
Tara attended and graduated from East High School and then received her Masters degree in Social Work from Wichita State University and worked as a social worker for Open Door and Human Kind (formally Interfaith Ministries). Tara had a passion for working with people experiencing homelessness and addiction.
Tara is a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
Tara was preceded in death by husband, Aaron Cunningham, father, Rev. Terry L. Murray; grandparents, Clarence and Lorene Parker and Kenneth and Maxine Murray and Jane Murray, and mother-in-law Susan Cunningham. Tara is survived by her children, Dane Alexander, Lane Turner and India Cunningham, granddaughter Evelina, mother Ann (Parker) Murray, and brother Aaron Murray (Vicki) of Thornton, CO.
Memorials to United Methodist Open Door and Human Kind. Family visitation will be at West Heights United Methodist Church, Sept. 18, at 9:00am followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m.
