An exhibit table was manned by K-State and Haskell Indian Nations University who sponsored a gardening project last summer with the PBPN Diabetes Program.
Participants received a prize for filling out a survey on their native food and gardening preferences.

A television spot that appeared on KSNT-27 TV last night about boxer Marcus Oliveira, who lives on the PBPN Common Land, was shown during the dinner.
Lifestyle Fitness Coach Cody Wilson visits with diners and gives a few tips about diabetes prevention. Wilson also works in the Diabetes Program.
Janet Bair-Carpenter and Kathy Sterbenz served up drinks for the crowd. Bair-Carpenter is the director of Social Services and Sterbenz is an RN for the Diabetes Program.
