MAYETTA: Kent Miller was named Employee of the Quarter at the All-Employee meeting held Oct. 21 at the Bingo Hall. Miller is a Victim’s Outreach Advocate in the Tribal Victims Assistance Program at the Potawatomi Tribal Police Department. He was instrumental in overseeing the Community Story Tree Project, a mosaic of artistic images that have formed an artwork designed to raise awareness about ending family violence. The artwork has been traveling to the other Kansas tribes and was unveiled at the First Friday Art Walk in Topeka on October 7 at jones huyett Partners communications agency. Plans are to have it permanently installed at the Government Center sometime in the future.
