MAYETTA: Over 150 people attended the 2nd annual Language Department presentation last night at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort.

A large crowd of family and friends were in the audience for the presentation last night.
The youth language students anxiously awaiting their turn on the stage.
Halina Williamson (left) and Mae Joslin performed their award-winning Country Mouse City Mouse skit. The girls, along with Preston Torres, won 1st place at the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair in April.
Preston Torres in character with the Country Mouse City Mouse skit. He also placed 1st at the youth language fair in the category of individual spoken language for his “Dreams” presentation that he also presented last night.
Jaiden Wamego presented his Good Leader presentation for the crowd. Jaiden won 2nd place in the individual power point at the Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair.
The adult language class also performed by singing some Beatles songs in Potawatomi.
The youth group joined the adult group and were introduced individually to the crowd.
Singing Beatle tunes like All You Need is Love and Give Peace a Chance were some of the songs sung in the Potawatomi language.
