Mary Daniel is seen taking the oath of office as a Special Judge for the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation in the new Judicial Center court chambers today.

Signing the oath of office papers are Steve Ortiz, left, Mary Daniel, center, and Jim Potter, right. Daniel is an associate for Husch Blackwell Sanders Law Firm in Kansas City and specializes in Indian and health law. She holds degrees from Dartmouth College and Oklahoma City University.
After the ceremony Chairman Ortiz took time to visit with some of the staff at the Judicial Center and to tour the new facility that opened last month. Above Ortiz is talking with Raphael Wahwassuck who is the Healing to Wellness Court Coordinator for the PBPN.
