MAYETTA: A Native American Veterans Enrollment Fair will be held Thursday, Sept. 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Hotel. A grand entry, breakfast, and lunch will be served for Native American veterans who want help accessing services. Information tables will be available for veterans needing help with accessing VA benefits and services, housing, education, employment, counseling and substance abuse referrals and women’s health.
Veterans need to bring the ID or Driver’s license, and DD 214 (copies only) and enter the casino at the northwest entrance.
The event is sponsored by the PBPN, Citizen Potawatomi, and Office of Tribal Government Relations. Citizen Potawatomi veterans (living in Topeka) can get a ride by calling 785.584.6171 before noon on Sept. 4.
