MAYETTA: A golf clinic for youth was held last night by Notah Begay at the new Firekeeper Golf Course driving range. Begay gave an overview of the game of golf and then gave some individual training to the children along with three other Landscapes Unlimited staff members.
Begay was at Firekeeper yesterday for the soft opening of the 18-hole golf course that he has codesigned. Part of his platform as a PGA golfer and Native American is dedicated to helping Native American youth stay fit and to learn the game of golf as the photos below show.
Wyatt Boswell was so curious about the golf ball he was given during the Youth Clinic that he thought he’d have a closer look.

Besides fitness, Begay also spoke about having good manners and respecting others.
