NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF FINAL AMENDED TRIBAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (TEIR) FOR “HWY 75/150 MIXED USE PROJECT”

October 7, 2024

To All Interested Agencies, Groups and Persons:

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Prairie Band Potawatomi Law & Order Code Title 31 Business Site Lease Ordinance, Chapter 31-7 Environmental Review Process and 25 U.S.C. §415(h) , the Final Amended Tribal Environmental Impact Report (TEIR) for the proposed “Hwy 75/150 Mixed Use Project”, has been completed.

The Hwy 75/150 Mixed Use Project site encompasses a total of 50 acres, of which 31.77 acres are proposed to be developed in a mixed-use project with industrial, retail, residential and office uses. The site will be subdivided into eight parcels with two points of ingress/egress from 150th Road. Phase I of the project will develop Parcel 7 as a manufacturing facility with associated stormwater and wastewater facilities to the east.

The proposed project is situated on land that is held in federal trust for the Tribe. The tract can be legally described as that part of the South Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 26, Township 8 South, Range 15 East of the 6th P.M., Jackson County, Kansas lying east of US Highway 75 and north of 150th Road.

A Draft TEIR for the Hwy 75/Mixed Use Project was made available to the public for review for 30 days. No comments were received, and the document is now final.
