The Rossville High School football team recently celebrated their 2021 Class 2A State Championship victory with a dinner sponsored by the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. They won the state title in November when they beat Beloit 35-12. The Rossville Bulldogs had a perfect season, finishing with a 13-0 record. This is Rossville’s second state title win in a row and their fifth overall.
The celebratory dinner was hosted on Jan. 4 at Fastdraws, a local business in Rossville, where they took a team photo. PBPN member Mshewe Hale is pictured holding the trophy. The team also includes Corey Catron, son of PBPN member Vern Catron, and Torrey, Tayson, and Thatcher Horak, members of Citizen Band Potawatomi.
