The Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Native Vote Committee has partnered with the Jackson County Elections office to host an advanced voting satellite station at the Fire Keepers Elder Center.
The voting station will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Fire Keepers Elder Center, located at 15372 K Road, Mayetta, Kansas. Any registered voter residing within the boundary of Jackson County, Kansas is eligible to use the advanced voting site.
All votes received at the advanced voting station will be submitted into a locked device under the control of the Jackson County Clerk’s office and will be tabulated on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, during the General Election.
Individuals have until Wednesday, October 17, 2018, to register to vote in the mid-term elections. Members of the Native Vote Committee are able to register voters. Michelle Simon and Eugene Thomas are available at the PBP Government Center, Jayme Mitchell and Verna Simon are available at the PBP Health Center and Marlena Jordan and Rey Kitchkumme are available at the PBP Gaming Commission. Residents of Jackson County can also go to Holton, to the County Clerk’s office to register.
