Stacy Leeds, second from left, was sworn in today at the Tribal Court as the Tribe’s District Court Judge. To her right, in the Court robe, is John Wabaunsee, Chief Justice of the District Court of Appeals, and members of the Tribal Council who also attended the event. On the far left, is Chago Hale, and fourth from left is Junior Wahweotten, Steve Ortiz, Carrie O’Toole, Jim Potter and Joyce Guerrero. Also sworn in today were members of the Healing to Wellness Court and the Employment Disputes Tribunal and Edward Colazzo, tribal prosecutor. On Friday Chief Justice Wabaunsee will be officially sworn in along with other Appellate Justices at 9 a.m. |
