Tribal PD Meets with Girl Scouts

This week, January 20th, local Girl Scouts Troop, #1356, delivered a sweet gesture of appreciation to our first responders. Every year, the scouts donate several cases of cookies to the PBPN Tribal Police and Fire Departments in an effort to maintain and grow community bonds.

The Troop’s relationship with the PBPN Tribal PD extends beyond cookie deliveries. Through summer camps and badge programs, the two groups have developed a meaningful connection over community involvement.

Tanner Lemery from the Police Department highlighted the joys of ongoing amity. “In the last couple years, we have taught the Investigator Merit Badge, and the First Aid Merit Badge to them. They have all been great to work with.”

As Christie Appelhanz, a scout parent, recounted. “The men and women we met were so kind, professional and patient in their interactions with us and the girls. It was such a special experience! Thank you to all who took the time to go above and beyond.”

The young scout’s cookie sales support their ongoing community work. The proceeds fund local scout activities and community projects, enabling troops like #1356 to continue learning valuable service skills.
