MAYETTA: The latest vote count for the upcoming Gaming Commission Election is 612 ballots that have been received at the Mayetta Post Office. Larry Mzhickteno and Jancita Warrington are competing against each other for Gaming Commission Position #2.
Registered voters have until this coming Saturday to mail in their ballots to the Mayetta Post Office. Ballots will be picked up at that time by a member of the Election Board and a tribal police officer. Ballots will be electronically counted in an open meeting of the tribal membership at the Bingo Hall with the winner announced at the end of the election.

The new Gaming Commissioner will join other Gaming Commissioners Gary Mitchell and Rey Kitchkumme after he/she is sworn in to office.
